We hope you are enjoying the holidays! We celebrated Thanksgiving on Saturday and tried our best to recreate our favorite American dishes. Most things tasted a little different, but hey we are learning as we go! We had our team, our tutor, her fiancé and some new friends there!
At the end of October, Andy (team leader) and Lim's home church came for a short visit to encourage the team! We did a fellowship group with them and the Roma as well as a prayer walk around the village.
We had dinner with the family we've talked about before (single mom with 4 kids). The kids got to play with Wes and Sergej which was great for them to have a positive time with men. This also gave me and Zeljka time to get to know the mom. She's pretty closed off to any type of Bible study, but we will continue to pray for her
Wes and I taught (in Croatian) the "Mladice Junior" lesson and craft! The junior group are the youngest kids, 6 years old and under and we do a simpler club with them. This junior club is new because the team noticed the little ones distracting the older kids and they were not retaining anything. So now we separate them after songs and it went really well!
We also had Klema clubs, (teens) they got to make a snack and this time it was American pancakes. Wes showed them his way of putting syrup, peanut butter, and whipped cream on it. It was a big hit!
Thank you for your prayers and support! We
hope you have a wonderful Christmas season! We put more pictures of the last two months on the next page.
Merry Christmas,
Wesley, Rebekah, Reese & Beau Davey
