Happy New Year!

Proverbs 16:9 “A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.”

2021 was filled with great memories and a path only God could have known! We found out we we are adding to our family, we were able to visit Croatia during Covid (all God’s timing), and we started support raising! If you would have asked us in January 2021 what the year would hold I’m not sure we would have even come close to being right. Is that not the beauty of it? We can plan all we want but we are not the ones in control. My due date was Dec 27th… and apparently nobody told our baby about that! Another unexpected surprise, what a mystery that even with all the doctors knowledge today that God is still the only one who knows when a baby will be born. God knew the moment we would be born and the moment we will die but he also knows all the in between. How comforting is it that God is never surprised by what happens in our lives like we are? 2022 will be another year where we strive to walk in the direction we feel God leading us but trying to remember daily that He knows all the changes, surprises and bumps ahead and we can faithfully trust in His sovereignty. How great is our God? We change like the wind but our God doesn't change and He is always good.
