Roma Christmas Ministries
We had over 100 kids attend our Christmas Clubs! We held 4 Mladice clubs (5th grade and under). We performed a nativity skit, made cookies, danced and played games! Everyone had a blast and at the end we gave each child a gift from our team. Reese loved participating in all the clubs and Beau enjoyed his role as “baby Jesus” in the skit.
We had about 50 Klema (6th grade and up) kids attend over 3 clubs. We did a lesson, cookie decorating contest, and lots of games!
January Family Time
We surprised Reese with a visit from my (Rebekah) parents! They spent a little over two weeks with us. It was so nice to have family with us, especially so close to the holidays. It was exactly what we needed at this time. We all got really sick while they were here but at least misery loves company! Some of you know that Reese has been struggling with being away from loved ones. She has been doing better since they came and we are praying she starts to feel at home here soon. It was hard to say goodbye but it was amazing that they could visit!
Praises & Prayer Requests
Prayer Requests:
Language and childcare! Our language studies are going well but we feel more and more that we need help with Reese while trying to focus on our lessons. We ask that you pray God would send the right person our way for this.
Please pray for our teammate, Lim. Her health has been poor the last couple months.
Praises:
My parents’ visit was amazing and a huge praise to God for letting that all work out.
Wesley and Sergej started a “Fifa Club” with the high school boys. They had their kickoff club this week and 8 guys attended. Our hope is that this club will help them disciple the young Roma men of this community.
We would love to hear from you!
Feel free to email us back or even message us to setup a video call! We would love to know how we can be praying for you as well. Thank you for your prayers, support & encouragement. Love, Wesley, Rebekah, Reese & Beau Davey
